3. Subj: McCargo(McHurg,McCarg, McQuharg, Machargs, Makargo,Cargo,Maca [0.98933]
Dear List Members, I am researching the family name of McCargo. I have them coming from England, Ireland and Scotland, by way of Canada. The name supposedly started in Galloway, Scotland around the early 12th century. I am seeking information on Peter, David, John and Alexander McCargo, around or about 1667-1873. I am also looking for a Robert McCargo who lived in Yell around 1814. Alexander was supposed to have come to the Americas from Canada(1860?). John was found to have settled in Virginia

5. Old newspapers 1803-1810 [0.98933]
Are there surviving newspapers for the Charlotte Co. area during 1803-1810? I have been told to check for advertisements in the newspapers for locating out-of-town heirs named in a Chancery Court case in 1803 in Charlotte Co. If there are no newspapers for this time period, would there be more Chancery Court documents available in Charlotte Co. relating to this case in addition to what I have already found recorded in Court Order Book 14? If more records are available, whom should I contact to get copies
6. R.L. Polk Directories [0.98933]
I was wondering if anyone has used R.L. Polk directories in their genealogy research? I'm trying to find dental directories. So far have just found one from 1893. Does anyone know how to go about getting one or gaining access to the directories? -- Cara Showers Anchorage, Alaska cara@dcdesign.com Volunteer of Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness at http://raogk.rootsweb.com
