Richard died in Culpeper Co., VA bef 19 Nov 1821; he was 57. 2. Elizabeth ? ? Elizabeth died bef 25 Jul 1829 in (Culpeper Co., VA)? abt 1764 Richard married Elizabeth ? ?, in (Culpeper Co., VA)? Their daughter was: 3. Mary Jenkins. Born abt 1765. Mary died abt 1825; she was 60. 4. Joseph Benjamin Weakley Sr. Born abt 1766

I have no ties to this line, but just wanted to mention that there were Rectors/Rictors in Scott City, KS in the 1950's if anyone has a dead end for Kansas. There are also Rector families in southwest KS at the present time, including Garden City, Hugoton, Syracuse, Deerfield, and Kinsley.

Hi John, I saw your query on the Culpeper list. There's probably no connection, but my great grandparents, Catharine Rumsey and John E. Berry, migrated from Culpeper to Union Co. in 1835. I know that people used to travel in groups in those days, maybe they came together. What do you think? Anne Young

Joel Smith (d.1791) and wife Mary Taylor (d.1792) had 9 children which were named in Culpeper deed records. They were Clary (Clara), Caleb, Daniel, Joel, Gabriel (my line), Polly (Mary), Augustin, John and Hegmond. Mary Taylor was the dau of Benjamin Taylor. Joel Smith was the son of Joel according to one researcher but I have no documentation. Three of these Smiths married Caspers and two married Yates.
