I have no ties to this line, but just wanted to mention that there were
Rectors/Rictors in Scott City, KS in the 1950's if anyone has a dead end
for Kansas. There are also Rector families in southwest KS at the
present time, including Garden City, Hugoton, Syracuse, Deerfield, and
Kinsley.

Hi,
I'm trying to search for some of my Hailey family roots in Culpeper County and
wondered if you had ever heard of a place, which may no longer exist, called
``Appeqiniminx'' or any approximation thereof? Maybe a settlement or a church?
Thanks, Bob Reid (rreid@ap.org)

Hi John,
I saw your query on the Culpeper list. There's probably no connection, but my
great grandparents, Catharine Rumsey and John E. Berry, migrated from Culpeper
to Union Co. in 1835. I know that people used to travel in groups in those
days, maybe they came together. What do you think?
Anne Young
Joel Smith (d.1791) and wife Mary Taylor (d.1792) had 9 children which
were named in Culpeper deed records. They were Clary (Clara), Caleb,
Daniel, Joel, Gabriel (my line), Polly (Mary), Augustin, John and
Hegmond. Mary Taylor was the dau of Benjamin Taylor. Joel Smith was the
son of Joel according to one researcher but I have no documentation.
Three of these Smiths married Caspers and two married Yates. I am
interested in any information on this family, ancestors or descendents.
