Looking for Joseph Price b. abt 1760, who married Elizabeth Keener.
Possibly had a brother or cousin named William Price (genetic match in Price
DNA project). We don't know Joseph's birthplace, but the Keeners were in
either Shenandoah (Dunmore) or Culpepper County areas in about 1780. Joseph
and Elizabeth and her grandfather Ulrich Keener show up in Greene County, PA
a few years later.

John,
I don't know if there is a connection here, but I have an Ulrich Keener (b.
ca. 1779) living in Taylor County, Virginia (WVA) in 1849, when he
petitioned the General Assembly to dissolve his marriage to Sarah Ann
Kisner. He was previously married and widowed prior to marrying Sarah
around 1839 (she was 18 at the time, and he was about 50 or so). He had
three children by Sarah according to Taylor County, WVA court documents
addressed to Virginia General Assembly. Sarah ran off with Joseph Hackley

Appreciate your reply, but I am relatively sure that Vincent and William
were TAPP's, NOT TOPP's and that there is not a misspelling here. I had
thought that at first also, but after much investigation, it was discovered
they were not TOPP's but in fact TAPP's and were from Germany. My ancestors
are from Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset Counties in England. However, I do
believe that this thread of TAPP's may have been an off shoot of the TOPP's
before they came to England around 1200. The family was orig
Hi, responding to your query I also have a Price/Dennis connection. Would
love to compare notes. My Price line came from PA/NJ and ended up in IN too.
My Dennis line came from NC to IN. My William Price was born (off the top of
my head) in 1813. You mentioned a DNA project on the Price line. Mine is
female from my grandmother but she does have a living Price nephew. Look
forward to hearing from you. Ginny in WY
