Hi: Early FOX forefathers came to America from England and settled in Pennsylvania for over 100 years. I don't have any information on any of them. Around 1782 Adam Fox was married in Shenandoah County, VA. By 1783 Adam and his brother Mark moved to Sevier County, Tennessee. There are many descendants still around there. On the 1780 Census of Culpeper Co, are listed the following: James FRASHER.. Benjamin Davis ... Harry Davis.. 2 Henry DAVIS.. James DAVIS.. 2 John DAVIS a Robert DAVIS and a William DAVIS. I am not researching the Golden family, but I do have two in my Hisel line of Culpeper VA. Children of Sampson Hisel and Sarah "Sally" Thurman of Culpeper One child, Martha Ann Hisel m. William Golden b. Madison KY One child, Sampson Jr., m. Nancy Golden b. Hello fellow Culpeper researchers! I have a new surname to research....oh happy days! I have just been informed that my ggg-grandmother's name was Pollie (or Mollie) FOX. Based on census records etc..I am estimating she was born in the period 1802-1812. I believe her given name to be Mary. She married James HACKLEY and they lived, as far as I can tell, their entire married lives in Culpeper Co. near Jeffersonton, so I am assuming she was probably from Culpeper or Fauquier. These ladies all married into the Bonnifield family. Sarah Henley was married to Gregory Bonnifield. They both died in Culpeper Co in the late 1700s early 1800s. Mr. Brubaker, Your Laban Racer md. Nancy Sims is listed on the Sims website. It is the database of Albert Sims, SIMS OF CULPEPPER COUNTY, VIRGINIA. According to Mr. Sims this particular Sims line goes back to 1600's in Virginia, to England in the 1400/1500's. He has 16 generations in all. Do you know of this site already. James Morrow and Elizabeth Frame marriage is listed in " Marriages of Some Virginia Residents " Vol. I, 1607 - 1800, but no location or county just the date 1771. Elizabeth's parents William and Susanah Frame attended the Augusta Stone Church and Tinkling Springs Meeting House, where several of their children were baptized. Elizabeth being baptizes on July 2nd, 1749.
