I am looking for information on a James Owens. I have been told that this is the name of the father of Almareen A. Owens (b. @1876) who married Mary Bowman in 1893 in Dickenson Co. Almareen and Mary appear in the census in Dickenson in the early part of the 20th century. Does anyone have any information on James and his family/ancestry? Thank you!

I don't know why this one was retained when all else was sent to Richmond in the 1950s (I think that's the right date) but it is there for I've seen it. Perhaps they retained the one from 1880 because that is the date Dickenson was formed. This record is a big (about 20 x 40 inches) journal-type book that li
