Hi list,
I'm looking for any info or connections to the family of James H. and
Elizabeth Francis Clark(e), who moved to a farm on the Columbia Pike
near Holmes Run(southwest of Baileys Crossroads) in 1856. Some of their
children ended up in DC, and one, Willie Lee Clark, stayed on the land;
his early 20th century home is still there, listed as a historic house.
Also interested in the Crump families who lived nearby.
Thanks, -Bryan-
I want name of farm once owned by Washington at junction of Accotink Creek
and Route 95. Then owned by Albert Wollaston Smith most recently, heirs
sold land to oil company for storage.
Charles McNett
Bethesda, MD
I am looking for someone to do an obituary look-up for me from a McLean,
VA newspaper or whatever paper would serve that area in 1994. I am
willing to exchange research in Chicago.
Thanks.

Kathleen,
Thanks to Sandy Onbey of the Fauquier Co list, I submit to you to go to the
site:
and then go to archives and you can
look up the obituary yourself...
There are fees for things but I think the site explains them. I understand
the Wash Post is online from 1977 forward.

JOHN AND THOMAS WINCHESTER were in GUILFORD COUNTY, NC maybe as early as 1768
or earlier.
I am looking for any WINCHESTER that may have been in VIRGINIA prior to the
date of 1768. I feel my Winchester family migrated from Virginia into North
Carolina. Therefore, some 52 Counties list are being contacted in hopes
someone has information on the WINCHESTER FAMILY in Virginia prior to 1768.
Thank you,
WARREN WINCHESTER
Thank you to everyone who replied to my question about Pleasant Valley.
The concensus is that the one I want is in the Chantilly/Centerville
area. Thanks again.

Perhaps someone can help Karen (she obviously wants out of the list). I
received this message from her and because I belong to two lists New
Brunswick and Fairfax County, I am not sure which one she wants to
unsubscribe to.
Perhaps she will also get this message and unsubscribe directly through
the list.
Thanks

Can anyone tell me whether or not there is a Pleasant Valley in Fairfax
County? The only Pleasant Valley I
can find is near Herndon, in Loudoun County. In 1914 would that have
been part of Fairfax? Thank you for your help.

Looking for info about Eliza MORGAN, who ran a boarding house in Alexandria in
