Thanks very much for the references on Frisby and Mahlon. I had recently located the 1910 Frisby. I believe that he is descended from the older Frisby I am looking for, but can't prove it. Also, thanks very much for the Mahlon references. I will follow up on these to see if they might be connected.

I found these references, but don't know if they are your Mahlon.

It lists Mahlon Morris as county treasurer from Jun 7, 1847 to Aug 5, 1849, with bond of $40,000. (He died Aug 5, 1849.)

I'm not sure where between Winchester and Warm Springs is but Warm Springs is in Bath County southwest of Staunton almost to West Virginia. Hope this helps some - that is a large area to look.
