Can someone recommend a bio/genealogy for him? I need one that comes down
to about 1940 or so.
Thanks.

There's a Mormon Family History Center (FHC) out on Apple Pie Ridge; does
anyone know its hours? How's about directions, if I'm westbound on US 50
at James Wood JHS?
Thanks!
Cheryl
Dear Self:
NOTE!! Scheel's map of Frederick co (available from Handley Library's
Archives Room for $5?) is marked up F-5. Somebody's index to same (c1991)
goes to F-11.
You get from the index to the real location by dividing each of the numbers
into half, so that F1 and F2 are both in the F1 block of the map. and C3 is
actually the west half of C2.
Do TRY not to forget this again, Cheryl. In fact, why don't you print this
out twice and staple it to both the map and the index?
Self.

My great grandfather , Robert Thomas Bowen of
Culpeper Va rode with Mosby's Raiders and his wife Eleanor Archibald [

known as THE GRAY GHOST. The first to carry on a hit and run war.

Good morning --
This is my first time to post to this list. I am researching the surname
DEARY (Derry, Dairy).
Just learned that there was a JOHN DEARY and JACOB DEARY listed in the 1815
VA Landowners Directory, Volume 4, Shenandoah for the town of New Market.
It said that JOHN DEARY of Frederick County, VA purchased 1/4 acre lot of
land from a DAVID FISHER and his wife RACHEL in 1803.
Does anyone have anymore information on this family line? Thanks so much.

Dan, notice that you have PROBST in your tree.
I am working on PROBST AND DETTRO/TETHRO families that were in late
1700s Mocksville area and later in Knox Co, TN.
Any hopes?

I am still getting emails from Family Discovery this one is disguised as a
promotion to help the WTC relief fund. It was from genhelp, but down the
page it tells me of the "benefits" of subscribing to Family Discovery. I
know people want to help the WTC fund but watch out for this company. They
are trying to scam you again....
