Musick:
Most of the information in this chapter on the Lewis, Terrell and Musick
families was obtained from the Genealogy of the Lewis Family by William
Terrell Lewis. There is another book: Genealogies of the Lewis and Kindred
Family by John Meriwether McAllister, Atlanta, Ga. and Laura Boulton Tandy,
Columbia, Mo., published by E. W. Stephens Publishing Co., Columbia, Mo.,
1906. This book gives practically the same data esp

Hello David,
My Elizabeth Terrell married Larkin, the g'son of my Herndon ancestor David.
I know absolutely nothing about her. Larkin was b in Caroline Co in 1769, so
I imagine she probably was too. They eventually migrated to Russell Co, VA
via Orange Co, VA/NC.
I am not suggesting that this is the same Elizabeth, but we all know how
these names travel in families. My Herndons were one of the First Families
of VA, with Larkin's ggg g'father, being the 2nd Colonial
Governor of Virginia.1655-

Lancaster County once encompassed a great part of Northern Virginia and many records of this county should be of interest to those researching lines in Prince William, Fairfax, Fauquier, Culpeper and other counties of Virginia.
Tell other researchers about our list and let's get it growning!
Thanks,

Hi Debra,
Thanks for your response. I will be in touch later, you may be able to
help me with the Herndon connection. There was a transaction between Giles
Newton and David Herndon and one of Giles' daughters married a Benjamin Herndon.
Right now I'm on my way to pick up books I'm currently having printed
on the Descendants of Giles Newton and Elizabeth Terrell. Will be away until
at least midweek. Have to take them from the printers to the bindery.
David
Hello list,
I am in search of parents or siblings of Giles Newton who appears in
Caroline County court in 1755 to prove the will of one John Rennolds. He
continues to appear in Caroline court order books through 1774 and was still there
in 1781. In about 1760 he married Elizabeth Terrell and they migrated to
Charlotte County in 1782 and on to South Carolina where Giles died in 1807.
It is said by earlier family members that he was also from Henrico
County but no record placing him there h
