Am I correct in the following:
Lancaster Co. was created from Northumberland Co. (one of the original 4/5 counties).
(Old Rappahannock and King and Queen Co.s were created out of Lancaster Co.

Thanks, I have record of him being Sheriff from 1895 to 1911. I have a considerable amount of info on the Sheriffs in the 1800 and 1900's, the 1600 and 1700's are the ones I am slack in.

counties in VA, I have hit a "brick wall" in locating the parents and
lineage of James T. Yerby. .
Information that I have:
