Hi,
We are researching our MOSELEY ancestors and found one land
description that interests us. We would like to know where "both sides
of Morton Cr, up the Locust branch" might be found today. The date on
this deed is 26 Nov. 1756. We know that Lunenburg Co. has been divided
since that time and wonder if this is still in present day Lunenburg Co.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Hello Francis,
I think you will find this CHAMBERLAIN and HUGHES family part of the
Lousia County. I have a Pittsylvania County WATSON family that was of
Louisa and Hanover and the HUGHES, CHAMBERALIN and WATSON families
seemed to be all neighbors there.

Ms Louise Overton,
I am interested in a Henry May who lived in Lunenburg and Charlotte in
the mid 1700's and also in Stephen May who lived in Charlotte in 1793. I
am wondering if there is a connection between those two Mays and your Dorothy May.

Hello,
William, I can't help you re the above except to say that my Atlas of County
Boundary Changes in Va. 1634-1895 shows that Charlotte Co. was created from
Lunenburg Co. in 1765.
Hope this helps.

I had that this James HAZELWOOD that was married to Martha BOOKER, was the
son of Daniel (b.12/26/1738 in St.Peter's Parish, New Kent Co., VA; d.
1814-1815 in Lunnenburg Co., VA) and Lucretia ARNOLD who were married
1760-1770 in VA.
Of course, I don't have proof of this source, so I would appreciate any
corrections.
Pam

Researching the Daniel Hazlewood family of Lunenburg Co., VA. Daniel
Hazlewood was born in 1738 (son of John and Elizabeth Hazlewood) in New
Kent Co., NY. He married Lucretia Arnold (daughter of James Arnold of
Mecklenburg Co., VA) about 1760. I descend from son James Hazlewood who
married Martha Booker (daughter of Richard Booker).

Hi Margaret and all,
Some time ago I printed out what I believe is this entire book which was put
on the Va. GenWeb by Thomas W. Duda. I believe it can be found at the
Lunenburg Va. site.
Check it out.

Dear Friends,
With the wonderful help of Angela Ruley and the VA Rockbridge GenWeb
group, I now have the Virginia Counties printed so I can try and trace
my 'hiding'ancestors. Enough..
I found a Rev. McLaughlin (no first name mentioned) that married a
couple on August 15, 1827 at "Paradise' near Portsmouth, VA. Rev.
McLaughlin was from Campbell County, VA. In 1782, Campbell County was
formed from Bedford county, which was formed from LUNENBURG and
Albemarle Counties in 1754. THERE IS MY LUNENBURG AGAI

Are you referring to the Richard Booker that married Elizabeth Palmer, or the
Richard Booker that married Rachel Marot?

I'm discouraged!!! I got the first LDS bundle today and guess what...NO
records for the State of Virginia!!! Can you believe it. That is like
saying, NO records for all of New England. Without Virginia there would
be no UNITED STATES!!!!! It clearly said a PARTIAL collection of birth,
christening and marriage records of the United States and Canada, 4
million names. I knew it did not have ALL names but I sure as heck
expected ALL states..
Shirley, I checked and no SIMON DRAKE...Also, no SARAH BUCHANA

Dear List,
I have just subscibed to this list and have a interesting query
, or at least I think so ;o). In doing my research of my Ashworth family
there is a very interesting "problem" with the will of John Ashworth.
First he was married ? to Jean Moorefield . In his will he mentions his
sons with lines like this Nathan Moorefield alias Ashworth. I am trying
to get to the bottom of that alias. It has been passed on to me that it
is the family belief that John and Jean were married by Babtist
