15. [VAMONTGO] Laurel Hill [1]
My thanks to those who responded to my question about the location of Laurel Hill, VA. The majority of the answers point me to Augusta Co. I did find out that Laurel Hill in Augusta Co. was the scene of a Civil War battle so it apparently existed in the 1860's. I'm not sure just when my ancestor died there but I am guessing somewhere between 1820 and 1840. His children were all born in Montgomery Co. so I'm not sure what led him to Laurel Hill. Thanks, Matsane mbuck@infoway.lib.nm.us
