At some time before October 1787, in Montgomery Co. VA, Blackburn Akers, Sr. and John Bishop signed a note for 12 lb. 11 shillings to John Plank, witnesses Marthy Akers and Nancy Akers. Apparently the note was not satisfied when due and Mr. Plank took them to court.
