I have Granville BROWNING, b. abt. 1790 and married Mary (Polly) BURNETT, possible from Pittsylvania Co. abt. 1812. It has been pointed out to me that in discussing the library of VA I used the word "microfiche" instead of microfilm. WHoops!! What they have there is mic rofilm. Hi all, Several people have asked me about ordering these maps so I'll tell you what I know. It was made by the Roanoke County Historical Society. It's great, cool, etc. I bought mine at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Christiansburg, VA. at the information desk. I spoke to Mrs. Christman who was so nice. I can't reconcile the death of Nancy Thompson in 1863, d/o Andrew and Hariett Thompson, with the Andrew Thompson whose heirs were sued in 1858.
