I am looking for any info on Major George MORRIS who is supposed to have died
in New Kent County,VA (sometime in the mid to late 1600's). His wife was
Eleanor and his daughter Katherine married Thomas PETTY abt 1656 in
Rappahanock Co,VA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Francis & Cordellia were supposedly married in New Kent in 1704. Am trying to ascertain same and find childrens names if possible. They moved to the part of Hanover that became Louisa. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have any information on Major George MORRIS but am looking for
information about the Morris family from that area. I am looking for any
information on Hugh Morris (1710-1773/4) and wife Mary. I descend from their
daughter Hannah's line but have been unable to find anything on her parents
and their ancestry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Patti

Hi. First of all, thank you so much for scanning these documents! Secondly,
could you, or perhaps one of our other list members, please do me the favor
of deciphering the top lines?? I can read most of it, but not all, and it's
mostly due to me not being able to read the handwriting very well. Besides

I copied the 1790 and 1800 New Kent Personal taxlist and will be
scanning them as time permits. Each page is 2 photocopies which I put
together to make the whole page. At high resolution (600dpi) each page
is about 10 megs big. I then create a low resolution (125dpi) copy which
is about 300K small. These will be posted on our BINNS RootsWeb website,
which is:
http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~ysbinns/
The first 5 pages of 1790 are done. This is A-E. We have not made any
index. You can view/download them now.
Sorry for the massive cross posting but not everyone knows.....
We just posted pages 8 and 9 of the 1790 New Kent Personal Property Tax
List on our website:
http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~ysbinns/
These are scanned images of the microfilm, which wasn't the greatest in
quality. But most of the names are legible. There are 15 pages total. We
hope to have the scans completed by the end of the week.
The posted images are JPG at 125 dpi with some image processing. The
actual master images we used to create t
