For those of you who suspect your ancestors may have owned land in Spotsylvania Co. in 1798, you may be interested in a relatively new issue (Feb 1999) of Magazine of Virginia Genealogy. There is a long list (about 21 pages) of taxpayers and the parish in which they are located in Spotsylvania for that year.
