I am looking for relatives of Henry L. Paquin, born in Barnston, Quebec on May 19, 1855. He married Mary (or Mae) Ludella Daniels in Barnston on November 30, 1878. They had three children: one that died in infancy; Fred Sumner (born in Coaticooke, Quebec on October 5, 1879); and Ethel May (born in Canada in November, 1884).
Both of their children, Fred and Ethel, their daughter-in-law Core Olivette Darling, and a George Almer Dailey, died in a canoe accident on Lake Memphremagog on June 24, 1906.

In 1825, Mr. Cleveland built an ashery, in which he began to make pearlash

It was burned two or three years after, and another was immediately built on
the same spot.

Barbara,
Another coincidence? About two weeks ago I posted a land record that was
noted as originating from an area known as either Kingsley or Kingsey.
There were several signatures on it from men who were seeking land grants in
lower Quebec. But, in all my research, I've yet to find a town by that
name. Given the time and area of your Phinehus (or probably Phineas) I'd
say the coincidence is too strong since the name Kinsley doesn't seem to be
that common.

Bennington, Vermont.
Col. Warner came to Bennington a single man in 1765, was married within a
year or two afterwards to Hester Hurd of Roxbury, and settled in the
northwesterly part of the town. He was a near neighbor of James
Breakenridge, his house being on the corner opposite the present school
house at "Irish Corner." It was lately known as the Gibbs place, and the
house erected by him was standing, though in a dilapidated condition, until

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, and best wishes in the New Year! The Family History Center has been closed for the past little while, so haven't been able to get much copied to pass on. Hopefully, after the New Year things will get back to normal.

wrote and published. I thought I had them all, but when I count, one's missing.
I'm wondering if someone else remembers who that was who came to talk in

New Haven CT most of her life, but still was proud to say she was a Vermont
native (born here), for the inscriptions in her books I found at the Ludlow

Hi List,
I have tried several times this afternoon to get on www.ancestry.com/ and I
keep getting a page that says if I am trying to go to ancestrees.com to
click here. It will not let me go to ancestry.com when I try clicking on
their link. Is anyone else having this problem? I cannot even get in to
send a message to ancestry about this page and it is starting to aggravate.
Thanks.
