15. RE: [VTADDISO] Re:Mary Handy [0.985377]
Thank you, Jean! This will definitely help! Rogers is such a common name, and there were already so many of them, even back then. Plus, it doesn't help that this family I'm studying just did not "sit tight". They moved throughout three different counties in Vermont. Plus, unless I'm wrong, they mixed with people (or maybe family) in New York - if the 1850 census I found for Mary Handy and her mother is correct. I already knew from Vermont census, that Mary and her mother were born in Massachusetts. In

This is to help those doing gen work and reduce their vulnerbility to viruses. I apologize if I am stepping on anyone's toes. Most of you, like me, download information that you find on the internet. I am sure most of you use Word to save your data BUT when you are on the internet, opening Word is very dangerous - most viruses are written to attack MS software which Word is. To protect yourself, minimize your vulneribility, you should use another software. I have been using Note Tab Light for several m
17. RE: [VTADDISO] Re: Rogers family in Addison`County VT [0.985377]
Hi Hilma, I'll keep this info "on file" as you never know if and how all these Rogers connect. But so far none of yours seem to match the direct line of my Rogers (in-law) ancestors. Mine seem to go back to Rhode Island about 1787, and I've yet to find any siblings of that person as I'm waiting for films to arrive. Thanks for your reply, and who knows .... someday, maybe we might cross family lines .... Carol Rogers -----Original Message----- From: Hilma Larkin [mailto:hilwin@att.net] Sent: Sunday, Ju

And I looked at the forum site and they also placed the same message onto all of the VT mailing lists. I was not going to even give this person the slightest acknowledgement but .. Just to say that I have made a Formal complaint to Roots web and they will look into this RUDE persons record and possibly forbid them from every using roots web again. 23. Re: Rogers family in Addison`County VT [0.985377]
Since you mention that the Rogers family was so numerous in Addison County, and other places in Vermont, perhaps this has nothing to do with your family. Just thought I would mention it--in case. My gr. grandmother Susan St. Pierre/Pier/Pierce was married to a Cheney Rogers in March, 1852. He was from Ferrisburg, and they had a daughter Mary, and possibly a son Ezra. Susan later married Frank Roberts, and my grandmother, among others, became the half-sibling of Mary Rogers. I know nothing more of Chene

Family records say he died in 1829 in Addison County. He had at least one son who was named Wait Hodgdon. (Some family records record his nam
