Mrs. George Cameron of Depot street was very pleasantly surprised last Saturday evening by a large party of her neighbors and friends the occasion being her 70th birthday. Whist was played and refreshments were served. An alarm of fire was sounded yesterday noon for a chimney fire at the home of Mrs. Carrie Page on Franklin street. The blaze was put out with a chemical extinguisher without the aid of the hose company. There was no damage. The

Eddy of Rutland, Vt., Belle, Martha and Cornelia, William and Harris Savery of Shrewsbury, Vt. ; a sister, Mrs. Henry Austin of Clarendon, Vt. Source,Rutland Vt.Herald--Tues. Feb.20, 1923. FOREST DALE, Vt. FUNERAL OF MRS. LAFRANCE. The funeral of Mrs. Delia Lafrance was held at St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock Saturday. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery. Mrs. Lafrance died at her home here Thursday evening. She was 82 years of age and is survived by three daughters, six sons, 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Source, Rutland Vt. Herald--Sat.Feb. 25, 1939. MIDDLETOWN SPRINGS, Vt., Feb. 24--Will E. Grover, 81, retired West Tinmouth (Vt.) farmer, died today at the home of one of his two daughters, Mrs. Lucy Blakely, with whom he lived. He had been in poor health for two months.
