1. [WAADAMS] Ancestry Free Databases [1]
This is kind of a test note to see if the new list servers are working. Ancestry has opened all their databases (including the online census) and PERSI till December 21. A hint from Curt Witcher about PERSI if you find a reference in a Genealogy or Historical Society periodical contact the society first to see if they have a copy as they are much faster than the Allen County Library is. Our librarian also said to check the local library also they might have that periodical also. Charles
2. [WAADAMS] Rootsweb System Maintence [1]
This is a note to those on the Adams, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, and Spokane mailing lists. Friday at 7AM Pacific time Rootsweb will be doing some maintence on the server used by these lists. They will be moving these lists to a new server. The old server is getting pretty old and Rootsweb has had problems with it. The move will mean that they will not send out notes from these lists all day Friday. The note from Rootsweb to me says notes to the list should not be lost, but recheck on Saturday to see that they
