3. Re: Andrew, Samuel + Hannah, Esther WARD 1600s MA [1]
I have been researching the Ward families of Cecil County Maryland. My research is leading into Delaware and I'm starting to believe that my families came to the Delaware and Maryland areas from further north such as New York and Long Island and perhaps elsewhere. I'm hoping someone here might have some information which will help me to connect. The family I just found is John Ward b. abt 1662 in Westchester, New York and Rebecca Fowler b. abt 1666, daughter of Henry Fowler. Their children were probably bo

9. ATTN: Robert Blair - Wards in Grays Harbor County, Washington [1]
It sounds as tho you might be in this area too but just in case..... I live in Aberdeen, Grays Harbor County, WA and would be happy to do any legwork you might need. Old newspapers are on microfilm at the public library here and I would be willing to check those, cemeteries, mortuaries, etc. Most (but not all) Wards rooted in this area seem to be Native American. My husbands family came up here from Florida so we are not related to the locally rooted Wards. Glad to help if I can. Dianne Larson

14. Fw: Texas vital records [1]
This article was in the Houston Chronicle this morning. I thought everyone would be interested. Online vital records have a bumpy history By MIC BARNETTE The year 2000 was great for Texas genealogists. In June 2000 the Texas Bureau of Vital Statistics placed several statewide vital records indexes on its Web site. Researchers were able to go to the TBVS Web site and access the records at their leisure. The data, however, was awkwardly arranged in separate files that corresponded to the year of the even

17. Re: Andrew, Samuel + Hannah, Esther WARD 1600s MA [1]
According to the Andrew Warde book, there were Wards in Westchester County in the late 1600's, but the book doesn't have a John with a wife named Fowler nor with children with those names. Also, except for one Philadelphia family, that generation apparently did not go south of New York. However, I don't put much faith in this genealogy, at least in my line, back much beyond the War of the Revolution. - Larry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lalor Burdick lburdick@mba1967.hbs.edu ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ----- Original Mes

25. [WARD] Wards of Staffordshire, Cheshire and Wiltshire [1]
Hi I'm new to the list and posting my interests. I'm interested in the descendants of Michael Ward of Newcastle Under Lyme, Staffordshire who died in 1641. Some of his descendants went to Cambridge and were priests, one becoming Bishop of Derry so he was obviously well connected. He was a freeman of the borough. I was wondering if anyone had any information as to his birth or if anyone else was following his line. They later moved to Marlborough, Wiltshire, where John Ward was a solicitor. I h
