My earliest Ward is Richard C. Ward, b 1790, in Guilford Co, NC who worked
as a blacksmith. He married Mary Ann Murphy, b abt. 1795, in Caswell Co, NC
on 11-16-1806. Two of their children include John Murphy Ward and Mary Jane
Ward. The family moved to Knox / Harlan (now Bell) Co KY where they died.
John Murphy Ward married 1- Nancy Warren and 2- Cloah Hall. Murph Ward
owned quite a bit of land on St Creek. The Wards were known for their
honesty and good penmanship!
Anyone with info reference Parents of John WARD, B; abt 1788, Digby, N.S.? His father, James WARD, believed to have built the WARD HOUSE, oldest private home in Digby, abt 1794.
I'm afraid, I still don't know much about my earliest Ward.
His name was William, and it is thought that he was born sometime between 1790, and 1800.
I don't know where he was born or where he died.
He married Clarissa Pearson in 1835 in Fayette Co. Ga. There was also a Simon Ward, that lived about four houses from him, and some think there is a connection between these two.
It is also believed they may have come from York Co. S.C., but don't know for sure.
William it is believed, was married more tha

My earliest WARD ancestor is:
Charles WARD born 15 May 1805 in Allegany County, New York. Have
found no record of him there. Do not know his parents. I do know there was a
James Ward living in the town of Nunda, Allegany County, New York during the
early years (1810) of this county and while he had a number of children, it
appears that he had no son named Charles. I also know there was a Zebadiah

period of time but have never been ab

Sorry!!! You know I have about decided that my John was born in Georgia instead of Sc. We think he was born in SC because of census records and his sons Bible. He might have even been born in NC.
I know you have been hunting yours a long time too. Maybe one us these days we will get lucky. I think you have to reply through the message board on all their e-mails.

I have information on William, Henry and Colonel John Ward. I am descended from both William and John. There was also a Miss Ward who is said to have been the second wife of Augustine Herman of Bohemia Manor. William Ward had a tract surveyed for him in 1671 in what was then Baltimore county and later Cecil county. He died April 17, 1720 and was buried in St. Stephens churchyard, Cecil County, MD. The first certain record of Henry Ward is the 24 August 1666 survey of 1400 acres on the south side of the Elk
Hi Rich, I have seen the name Solomon before, one of that name came to N.S.
directly from England with his family, but tno connection to my line.
My Wards, I believe, were all Loyalist who were refugees from the war. Most
apparently settled in the Digby area, grand father came to the state some
time around 1900, and then it seems all of his siblings also came back to
the states to the Mass. area.
First chance I get, I will send you a lineage listing so you can check for
possible connections.
Mary WOOD WARD, d. 7 March 1843, age 36 years, buried Methodist Churchyard,
Matteawan, Dutchess County NY. Does anyone know anything about this woman?
I am trying to determine first wife of John WARD b. abt 1812, lived Dutchess
County and had first wife dead by 1850 when he had already migrated to
Niagara County NY. His 2nd wife was Abigail SALISBURY.
Even the slightest clue would be greatly appreciated. Sharon Poole Sherrick

I am a descendant of Augustine Herman through his first wife. His second
wife was named Mary Catherine Ward, allegedly daughter of Henry Ward. The
