Hi K,
Your forwarded email from "JP1952MP" (who is that anyway?) asked about
kinfolk of Thomas Warren of Surry, VA. While I was gone the last two weeks,
I went through Surry County and gather some information on Thomas' family if
anyone is interested. Let me know. ***Please*** send any replies to my
other address as I rarely check this one. tomburch@aol.com

Gentlemen:
During the early 19th century, a man immigrated to Utila, (one of the
Bay Islands) Honduras named Samuel Warren. He was the ancestor of my
Grandmother, Rose Warren. According to legand, he was related to Dr.
Joseph Warren who died at Bunker Hill, and was said to have fought there
himself and to have come from Boston.
I cannot document Samuel Warren's birthdate and have no other
information about his background. I am looking for members of one of
the Warren families who may have records of a
Hi everyone,
This is not my line. I do not know if this info is documented, but
maybe it will give some clues to help a few of you out there. It starts
with Michael WARREN Sr. who was born in Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY on
15 Jul 1711.

I am interested in obtaining WARREN entries for Berks Co. for the 1860
Federal Census. Has an index been done for this one? I see ref to an
1870 index, but have not seen one for 1860. Given the index entries, I
will take it from there.
Thanks,

This might pertain to you if you are searching for someone who either married
or died (what a combination) in parts of Maine around Ellsworth between the
dates of October 24, 1851 through December 29, 1865. Some spelling is a
little off but found most dates to be fairly accurate. Great for a "Eureka"
or two and for fun. Make sure you read the forward and explanations first!

I have never written a query like this before. Looking for Martha (WARREN)
born in Hancock Co, GA. Probably moved to Tallapoosa Co, AL when her
brother, William S. Warren & his wife, and her mother & her second husband,
Rev. William & Lucy (Stembridge) Breedlove moved there in 1838. William
Warren was born 1816 and Martha I am uncertain of, (before Oct 1820 as that
is when her father died)

Hi all,
Just a quick followup to my previous posts, but a little around the
fringes. If you are interested in the Pocahontas/Smith/Rolfe aspect of the
connection to Thomas Warren, you might want to check out the website listed at
the end of this message. It has a lot of additional information from the
"other side" so to speak, including links to posts from the remnants of the
Powhattan Nation. It also has a wealth of links to VA historical websites.
Have fun with it.

Well, I can tell you this. Susan Cornelia Clarke was born in Blandford, MA
March 3, 1825. She was married to Samuel Dennis Warren. They are descended
from the Nayland Warrens (which are also the Surrey Warrens). Samuel's
grandfather was John Warren was a farmer and a trader. During a trading trip
he noticed the scarcity of shoes in the South. He induced three of his fellow
townsmen to manufacture a coarse cowhide show, especially suited for Negroes.
These he sold on commission starting from Graton, M

Let me begin with some corrections in our perceptions of history, muddled and
completely changed in some cases by a recent Disney film, "Pocahontas". After
saving Captain Smith's life, the young girl, Pocahontas, was sent away by her
father, Chief Powhatan, for safe keeping from the English. As far as I have
found recorded, she only saw Smith once more, after she was married, in
England. There were continuin
