I have located the probabe papers of William D. Washburn of Perry, Alabama, who died in August 1883. I believe all his children died in infancy or childhood, and his widow Lucinda Belcher Washburn received a dower's portion and then provided a long list of heirs for the remainder of the estate. This list ought to help tie many to this Washburn family, but I hope it leads to earlier generations as well. The following is from Perry County, Alabama Probate Court, Book S pp. 167-171.
