Was wondering if some kind soul out there, who lives in the Spokane, WA area
could look up some info in the spokane City directory for about 1956.
I'm looking for a J. Frederick, who had a wife with either the name, Lorna
or Lora. Lorna and Lora's father died in 1956 and his obit shows that one of
them lived in Spokane, and was a Mrs. J. Frederick. I have no idea which one
the daughter's married a Frederick.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Sorry, Right but Wrong. Mount Vernon is the County Seat of Skagit County
and is the largest city in that county. Washington Bulb Farm, largest bulb
producer in the nation is located there, or slightly outside of town.
Anacortes is located on the water and is a tourist town of about 1 main
street. Very picturesqe. Lots of history.
I used to live and work in Mount Vernon.

Hi list, (I hope I'm sending this to the right place)
My aunt Elizabeth Hughes died in 1938 in the TB sanatorium in King
County. Her ashes are interned at the Columbarium (possibly misspelled) at
Washelli in Seattle. I have twice sent to Olympia asking for a copy of her
death certicate, but each time get back a letter saying that no certificate
exists. Does anyone have any idea why that might be true? Is there anyplace
else to look for the information that we might get off that death
certificate?

I recently sent out letters to my Dad's first cousins, asking them for the
birthdates, etc, in their families so I could add the information to my
database. I just received a phone call from one of them. He is in his
early 50's. He has a family scrapbook with old obituaries etc., that he will
be sending me! The scrap book includes articles about an ancestor of mine
born prior to the Civil War! What a find! I never dreamed that any of them
would have any information other than just their familie

Hello again Washington!
(Not finished with you yet, it seems!)
I wondered if some kind person could look up some information on an Arthur
L. Clarke from Seattle, probably born about 1860. Apparently, he married
my great grand-aunt Elizabeth HUTTON in San Francisco Jan 6th 1890.
Unfortunately, there are few records for marriages in SF about this time,
but I was lucky enough to see this marriage on the "SF Call" and sent away
for the newspaper copy. Hopefully, I can prove that this is Elizabeth's
husband.
