I am looking for information on an Issac WATSON, who married Mary______?(b.
1761 d. 1839), Through the family's old wives tales it was supposed that they
came from Scottland to England sometime around 1786. It is also rumored that
they are decendants of a Scottish Laird, but I am stuck not knowing where to
turn, or what rumors to believe. The family that told an elderly cousin this
is long deceased, so there is no way to "pick her brain". They had 5

My family has information on Richard "Dick" Watson of Elliott County,
KY. Two related families have told me that Mr. Watson was a former
slave. Our family records show him as a paid employee at my great
grandfather's spoke factory which was located in what became Rowan
County, KY. Mr. Watson was apparently the first African American to own
property in Elliott County, KY.
The ledgers from the factory are quite fragile and old, but if any
descendant of Mr. Watson would like the information regarding his

Hi all,
I have just finished going through the old parish record book on
microfilm for Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. I have got written
down all WATSON birth, marriages and deaths from about 1630-1854 that
were registered in that parish. If you believe that your ancestor was
from that area, I can check my info for you. Thanks.

I am trying to trace the origins of a Watson family from Ct. The
farthest forename that I can go back is Stokes Watson who died
sometime around 1950's. I believe that he was born in Virginia around
1870's. I have had no luck finding out little else. He was reputed to
be a run-away slave who fled to Putnam Ct. near the turn of the
century. Any information will be greatly appreciated. I can be reached
