This is a busy search area with a lot of John Watsons, but none I am looking for. My John was in New England in the early 1800's. He was married to Mary Mahoney.
Catherine Sellers, b. abt 1790, probably in Chester County, daughter of
George and Catherine Sellers, married ___ Watson and was a widow with
several small girls in 1828. Any ideas who this Watson might have been
would be appreciated! Some of the family was in Chester County, PA and some
in Centre County, PA in 1830. Catherine's brother Paulser Sellers was
brother-in-law of General Philip Benner.
Thanks, Judy

River, on the west bank after the 1700s. Has anyone linked these folks together? I
think they may be the one's I am looking for.

hello, all. i'm new to this mail list & this is my first posting. i'm attempting to chip away at my brick wall here. peter WATSON was born ca. 1810 in KY, and by 1833 was living in northeastern arkansas. i'm guessing that his father's name was william because peter named his firstborn son william.
below is a list of surnames who were early settlers in northeastern AR about the same time as peter watson. if any of these surnames are connected with anyone's WATSON ancestors on this list, please e-mail m
About Polly:
There are several dimutives for Mary. Mamie, Polly,
Molly are extremely common. Just nicknames. When you
see Polly, it may be a nickname for Mary, or it may be
a given name. (Sally was nickname for Sarah, and
became a common given name.)

There must be a zillion John Watsons "out there." Without knowing WHO,
WHERE, WHEN, their FAITH, and WHAT information you already have, along with
WHAT information you need to know, it's like a kid hunting for the rabbit in
a magicians hat, after the show.

William Watson, b abt 1821 in Penns Valley, Centre County, married Catherine

Thanks, Judy
