Here are some Watson names; not all necessarily being related to each other. A kind lady who has been trying to help me locate my Watson ancestors provided me with this information of Watson's in Oregon. You'll note that although they were in Oregon, they were not all born in Oregon. If questions, feel free to email me direct. ~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*`~;~`*` Rebecca Watson Walker - NIGHTNITE@JUNO.COM seeks: Bamber, Petrie,Cooksey,Watson,Palmer,Pec
2. Two Good URLs [1]
I found two searchable databases at Univ. Va. that others might find of interest. The first is an index of holdings in their archives of primary documents relating to colonial times. I'm not sure that when it refer's to Master of a Ship that it means that the person was indeed the ship's captain--in some cases it is apparently that the person got a waiver from the ship's captain from being impressed into service. http://eagle.vsla.edu/colonial/ Search Results 1 Watson & Rashleigh -- 1780, SR 02332, p.
3. WATSON's of Western Tennessee [1]
I'm seeking information on any connections to the following WATSON family. Virtually nothing is known of Robert WATSON except that this is the name of the father of Beverly B. WATSON" in early (1820's) Western Tennessee history, specifically around Lauderdale County. There is another possible brother, Christopher WATSON,

>This may be one of those far stretches ...or a reason I've figured my own >WATSON line came here as outer-space aliens. The Watson family was all over Rhode Island from the 1600s on. As you chart the families there you notice that some of them begin the trek south, into Rensaller New York, then Maryland. I find mine in Fairfax and Loudoun counties in Virginia toward the end of the 1700s and up until 1825. Just a thought for the list. :) Don Watson
