Watkins, vi.Richard Crittenden,
vii. James Crittenden, viii Sarah Groom

Mary Elizabeth Crittenden in 1727
This might be of some interest to WEBB researchers of Richard and John. I found it in the Journal of the Friends Historical Society, Vol 11, 1914. It is in response to a previous mention that John was Elizabeth's husband and was written by Gilbert COPE to correct the error. At the end of the article he writes:
"John WEBB died in Philadelphia about the yeat 1711, leaving a widow Ann, who subsequently became the wife of Nicolas PYLE, and an only child Susanna, wife of William MONINGTON. He appears to have

I would like to obtain the marriage certificate for John and Mary (BOONE) WEBB that took place on 13 September 1720 at the Gwynedd Monthly Meeting.
Does anyone know where this might be found?
Thanks,
Kathryn
I am seeking any information on ROSA WEBB that married DAVE MATHIAS on April
6,1911 in the state of Tennessee, possibly in Haywood or Madison County. Rosa
was granted a Decree of Divorce from Dave Mathias on October 6,1937. I am not
sure if they had and children together. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,

Hi Charles
This my be a branch of the Webbs from Fawn Grove.
It is taken from The History of York County, Pa. by Prowell, pages 128
and 129. Part of it reads, Mrs Mann's maternal great-great-grandparents,
Richard and Elizabeth Webb were Quakers of English descent, who settled
at Fawn Grove, York Co. Pa. Four sons and one daughter were born to
them, the sons being James, Joseph, Jesse and Richard.
James Webb was born Dec. 8, 1778, and died May 16, 1865. On April 15,
1800, he married Mary Ann Miller, who

DEAREST Pat.
No/ I'll do some research. I know that
his parents were Wm.Webb and Mary Ann
Taberer. I don't think I've ever seen any
thing on their children other than
Wm.Warren Webb. I'll let you know.
Incidentally, my 5th gr. grandfather was
Augustine Webb s/o Wm. Crittenden Webb s/o Wm.Warren Webb. and I have
always wondered why he didn't have a
middle name just as I have wondered why
yours didn't either.
They both served in the Am. Rev. War
together and called each other "Cousin"
and knew each
Hi Webbsters - Since the list has been so active lately I thought it might be
a good time to once again try to solve the mystery of the two Augustine
Webbs. The history of the lives of the two Augustine's has gotten so intertwined
that it seems nearly impossible to straighten them out. I could sure use some
help.
Augustine1 (my ancestor & possibly the son of Julius Webb who was born in
Spottsylvania VA) served two enlistments during the Rev War. The first
enlistment in 1775/76 at Albermarle Co., a

Jesse Webb served as a soldier in the Revolutionary War and later
married Anna McMurty; they raised a large family in Jefferson County, Tennessee.
Two of their daughters married brothers who were the sons of David "Honest Dave"

Susannah Webb married John Wesley Proffitt about 1820 in Cocke County,
Tennessee; her sister Sarah B. Webb married Samuel E. Proffitt on January 02,

Dear List,
I'm looking for someone with access to the Indiana 1840 census for Franklin county in the township of Blooming Grove.
Page 286 the name of the person is a Valentine Webb, any help I would be grateful
Thank You in advance.

For those of you interested in the technical results, I have prepared this
update. I found it very interesting, although I have little understanding of
what practical results it might have. For those of you with more knowledge than
I have, I would like feedback on the WEBB 25 marker value analysis -- do the
results suggest anything to any of you?
For those of you with even less knowledge than my meagre bits, you might find
the following reading useful:

Augustine's had, there's no record of one named "Augustine" after their father???
I have seen the name for the same man spelled Augustin, and given the
handwriting of their time, the name Augustus might easily have been mistaken for
Augustin.
While grasping at straws, I have thought that if Julius Webb was the father
of Augustine1, he may have been named Julius Augustus after Julius Augustus
Ceaser, and that perhaps Augustine
Hi Eugene,
I am also part of this same Webb line...so it seems. Allen Oscar Webb (I
have him in my files as Oscar Allen so now I'm not sure which is right) is said
to be a 2nd & a 3rd Cousin. Just glancing at things as I read your email to
Marsha, I see that he was the great Nephew of my William Riley Webb who was not
only my step 2nd great grandfather but my step 3rd great grandfather. I guess,
without sounding like I am inviting myself to the party, my main purpose of
writing though is to ask if
