5. New to list [1]
Morning Listers, I have just joined this list and wanted to share my line of research. I am looking for others working a Matthew J. Wiener, born 1894 in Minnesota. He married Effie Lytly also born in MN. They had one child, Thomas John Wiener April 1917 in North Dakota. Thomas was adopted May 1922 to the Mober family. Evidently the parents divorced and mom got custody.

Canady, Welcome. My Wiener's and yours don't seem to match. Mine came to the US and settled in NYC where many remain. Those that left NYC all came to California before 1940. I've "rescued" a group of photographs belonging mostly to the BARTON + PAISLEY families. Mine was from Ostrow Lubowski near Lublow, Poland. In the 1900 Federal Census, the census taker wrote down "Vina" as the name as that was the pronounciation.
