Anyone have information on Beulah WEST, Goldie WEST who were sisters? I
think they came from Kansas before Missouri. They married SCOTT brothers.
Beulah married James Everett SCOTT and Goldie married John Franklin "Jack"
SCOTT, brother of James Everett. They lived around the Keytesville,
Salisbury area of Linn and Chariton Counties in Missouri in the late 1800's
and early 1900's.

Carol,
There isn't any more info in the book about McFadden but Elder Silas
Watson Sears, married Emma Florence McFadden. There is also an article
about Eld. Silas Watson Sears - Palmyra, Missouri (deceased)
Was born at Mt. Airy, Randolph Co, MO, on April 7, 1843. His
parents were Wiley and Nancy Ryals Sears. There isn't very much known
about his life. He was married to Samantha Griffin on October 6, 1863,
and they had eleven children.
In August 1864, he was believed to be dead (after a serious

Dear Cousins,
Well, another year has flown by, and we are truly on the threshold of a new
century. Many wonderful things have occured this year, along with some very
sad ones. But as we celebrate the blessed birth of the Christ Child, I can't
help but count the many, many wonderful blessings He has brought to us.
We mourned the loss of a wonderful little grandchild who has gone on to a
life without pain for the first time in her short five year life. Then we
celebrated the birth of our first great
I'm interested in Wests that are from Germany. I noticed that one West
letter mentioned possibly being born in Germany. Wests that went to Reformed
Churches. Wests from Southeastern Pennsylvainia (Northampton and Lehigh
County around 1750 to 1780), Albmarle County, Virginia around 1800, and Wests
from Pickaway County, Ohio around 1804 to 1860 are of interest to me.

Hello all,
Got on the. . .free 10 days, at "Ancestry.com" last night and found my husbands family line posted! I've written this list before, but wasn't able to connect. If the person who listed this family tree is out there, please get in touch in me.

Carol:
I'm probably not going to be of much help, but I'm wondering if you're not
talking about two separate West lines. There is a line of Wests that came
through Rhode Island that had a number of Nathaniels in their line (several
generations of them one after another). I've seen where some of them migrated
to some of the mid-west states, possibly including Ohio. I don't know
anything about your VA Wests, though that's where my Wests also come from
too, and I'm also stuck trying to tie them back to the de
I am interested in this discussion of Rufus West.
I have Charles Rufus West (1857-1932). He was born in Indiana and died in
Iowa, but his family may have traveled to AR around 1830-1840, and then to
Indiana by 1850.
My Collins Family made a loop from IN>AR>MO>IN.
My Hayhurst/Collins family went from IN>AR and stayed there.
These families lived in NW Arkansas near Washington and Carroll Co.
I am trying to find out if my West family was there too.
Charles' parents were Edward (or Edwin) West and and Sarah A

I am tracking a William Decatur West who married first, Anne Proctor. He was
supposedly from Cobb County, GA and after Anne died during childbirth (Sarah

for a while in Bradley County, TN but they moved to Walker County, GA and
built a house there.
His first born son was a William Jesse West. then James Elijah West and his

Although I have ancestors who were in Jefferson TWP, Preble Co., OH, I am
unable to connect this Nathaniel to my family history. My Nathaniel was
born in VA and was married to Nancy Jones in 1788. I have my family data

This is in reply to the message describing the Book on Primitive
Baptist Preachers and the West Connections. Something caught my eye.
When it tmentioned Emma West being the gr. grandaughter of Elder Silas
Watson Sears. I am researching my husbands lines in Pulaski and Casey
Co Kentucky. Watson and Sears surnames have been there since late
1790's. Also Wests were quite present in those counties as has been
previously posted on this list. My personal West ancestors were located
in Russellvile area of Ky.
