Hi List,
I need your help!
I'm searching for West families in the Hunterdon/ Burlington county area of
New Jersey or West Jersey pre 1775.
Is there anyone searching surname West in that area in that time frame that
can send me a list of families? I will greatly appreciate any help. Thank
you very much.

Thanks for responding Jack.

Hi Bill,
How did your West family get to Iowa?
How about sharing some of your family history?
Do you have West ancesters from early New Jersey (West Jersey) or eastern
Pennsylvania 1700's-1800's?
Looking forward to meeting your family.
Perhaps you can help with my West family.
My mother's elusive West family is my brick wall. This is as far back as I
can document as fact:
Fact: My GGGgrandfather

In your studies, did you happen to come across any Edward Wests, born circa
1730, either in Va. or Pa.

P.S. My g-grandmother was Josephine West of the Pittsburgh area.

Hi All
Spent some time recently in England and did some research, amateur of course,
on the Salisbury origin of Francis of Duxbury MA. and Captain Francis,
brother to the second baron De La Ware. The point was to see if I could prove that
Francis of Duxbury really was the son of Captain Francis. I was unable to
uncover any data on the former in Salisbury but did find the English surname
biography encyclopedia, which contained a write up of Captain Francis. According to
the write up Captain Francis mar
It possibly just sank and the maintenance folks mowed over it. The dirt and grass from the mowers cover very fast if the stone is laying flat.
I say this, because much to our delight, an ancestors grave was discovered while we were searching for a different stone. The stone, quite large and elaborate, had fallen over, and had been protected by the earth that covered it. The best way I have found to search is lay out a string where you see a row of headstones, and using a piece of coathanger about 8 in

Hi Lorne:
My Paternal family emigrated from Hull, UK in 1817 on the Brigantine

1702, a Thomas West and families, born in Bonby, Yorkshire, UK.
Good luck

Don,
I don't know if I can help you or not, but I'm wondering if you might
be willing to expand your area of search a couple of states, or
colonies in this instance.
I have WEST ancestors who lived in North Carolina and Virginia
pre-1775, in fact likely going back to earlier than 1725, and possibly
back as far as around 1600 (if I can ever make the connection), then
back into England and back further than that through several of the
kings and queens of Europe.
Some of the decendants of my known WESTs cou

Bernetta, I have one Willis West , married a Mosby. This info was from partly from a DAR record on William West and partly from some Buckingham Co., records, partly from WEST REGISTER, by Letta Brock Stone and another book I can't remember seems like this John West went to Accomack Co and then on someplace else, I didn't run anymore of it down. So just use it for a guide if it is your line.
This is not my direct line but connects into it so when I run across it I put the branch in my big tree. This is all
