Thanks for the suggestion Ardis, but when I click on the link, it takes me to a page that says the page cannot be found or unavailable. I will try later just in case it is temporarily unavailable. 6. Re: [WEST-L] West papers [1]
Greg, I may be reaching a little to try to find a connection, but here's where I'm coming from... My provable ancestor is William West who married Elizabeth Sargent in 1807 and later moved to Fulton County in Ohio..He was probably born in Maryland, Frederick County. I have not found his father. However, I have found a number of Wests in Frederick County. Among these are a George West who had three sons. I also found three wests who married in the late 1880s or early 1890s.They are Thomas, Joseph and Jacob.

Not sure about this - but given this current info, I should find out exactly what this headstone had to say. Take care - thanks for sending out the info. I know its a lot of work. For those West's out there from my family line - here is my family line. Joseph West & Jane Owens - married in 1739 in PA - they had at least one son, Isaac. Isaac & Rosanna Lewis married in 1766 and had about 10 children - Isaac Jr being on my family line. Isaac Jr & Mary Lester married in 1806 in VA. They had 8 children -

Go to keyword and type in the name of the cemetery. When it comes up then you can go there and search for the tombstone. I hope this helps.

I found the following posting on a West Query. Cannot validate info but it might give you a lead. Moved from PA to Ohio c1800-1810. Morris WEST and his brother moved with their father who died on in the mountains on their return to bring Morris' mother to join them. Morris and at least one of his children, Augustine Biggarstaff WEST or Augustus B. WEST (b1800), remained in Harrison Co, Ohio for a number of years. A.B. 19. Re: [WEST-L] Looking for info on Nicholas West [1]
Jo, I don't have the information you're looking for, but I have my line of Wests back to Edward, b. 1729, probably in Pa. The strongest possibility we have as to his ancestry is a grandfather, Thomas, born 1642 in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire, England. No firm linkage, though. Wondered if you have any spare Edwards sitting around who might be an offspring of one of Thomas's offspring. Bill McKinney Erie, Pa. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lee Titus" To: Sent:
20. [WEST-L] Elizabeth West [1]
I have a copy of the Knoxville Register dated April 1, 1834, which states there was a letter being held in the dead letter office in Kingston, Roane County, TN. The letter was addressed to either Elizabeth WEST or Joseph CLOUD. Do any of you WEST family researchers know of if a WEST male married to a CLOUD girl named Elizabeth? Thanks for your help. 21. [WEST-L] Lord De La War [1]
Cousins: If we have anyone with a living male carrying the surname WEST, who is a documented descendent of Lord De La War, I will pay for their DNA test to get that line into our West surname DNA project. If you know of someone who may fit that category, and they are not on this list, would you send me the contact info - off list. I will try to convince them to join our project. We need DNA participants from the other well documented lines to pre-1700 also. Our web page is: http://web.utk.ed
