9. [WI-Calumet] Information request for William Holtz [1]
Hello, I am looking for any information I can get on a William and Anna Holz/Holtz. They had a son August which is my ggrandfather but do not have any information on any other children. They apparently farmed at Brillion. I believe they resided there from approximately 1850-1880. Is there a local newspaper from that area during this time and how does one go about getting microfilm for newspapers? Thank you, Mike Nelson

Hi Mike, If you live in Wisconsin, go to your local library an request microfilm for that time period from the Brillion Newspaper. Brillion News as it is called today has all of their papers on film. Most Holtz that I knew of came from Portage County to Calumet County in the late 30's through 40's. I have been in rural Brillion, only a mile and a half from Lyle Holtz for over 60 years. Have you tried running the names through www.google.com or www.familysearch.com Take care. Ron
