Hi Rod,
I have posted this to the list as the names might prick up ears!
I have been out and about again. There is a lovely little church nestling in
the valley between Rouen and Tyn y Groes which is only literally a stones
throw down the fields from Isfryn. It is called Llangelynnin new church. It
is not new, probably 2-3 hundred years old and the reason for the new is that
the old Llangelynnin church is high up on the mountain above Conwy and dates
pre 1600.
I called there and have found a grave for
In a box of old papers I discovered two photographs depicting the pupils of
class 1 and class 3 a Tregarth School in 1928.
As I have no Tregarth Connections I have sent the photo's to Caernarfon
Records Office
If any list member is interested in seeing copies of the pictures I have
posted them at this URL

Dear All
I have been trying to put together some local history pages on a Rootsweb
freepages site, which I hope will be of use and interest to local and family
historians alike.
I have now completed the first section of the site, a transcript of the (out
of print, out of copyright) book Dolgelley & Llanelltyd, the Story of Two
Parishes by T. P. Ellis, which I have had lots of *look up* requests for.
There are a couple of other half finished projects on the site as well, which
I hope to complete in th
William (b1833 d1892) & Jane ROBERTS, nee JONES (b1843 d1911) emigrated with their daughter Mary (b1865 d1928) in about 1867 to St Paul, MInn. They had a further four children John, William, Anne and Jennie. I know their history after emigrating but I would like to know where in the Conwy Valley they were born and married. Does anyone know anything of this family? I would like to prove or dis-prove a connection to mine.
I should be grateful for any info.
Gwyneth

I have a BC of a great granduncle who was born at Glan nant, Upper Corris, Talyllyn. The father was a gamekeeper.
Would anyone know whether Glan nant is an area of Upper Corris, or is it likely to be the name of a house, or estate?
Any information would be much appreciated

. There is no doubt that I will have to go back to these old chaps,

information

Keith when you have interrogated them ask them do they remember my family!!
Thomas John WILLIAMS and his wife Ethel (from Liverpool) and their six kids.
They must have lived there sometime in the 1930's as my dad was born in 1925
and went to school there before they all returned to Live
