Dear Patricia Ann Shears - There are two Ann Shears born about that time. The one to whom you refer was baptised at Carew Church on 27 April 1816. Her parents were William Shears and Mary (nee Machan) who farmed at Houghton in that paarish. This Ann/e married William Brown of Highlands Farm, Hodgeston on 5 November 1850 at Carew Parish Church. She is still there with her husband at the time of the 18561 and 1861 censuses. The other Ann was baptised at St. Florence Parish Church on 18 July 1810,

I have been away from genealogy for better than five years, so please bear with me as I get back in the grove. I reside in McAlester, Oklahoma. I am searching for more information on my immigrant great grandparents one of which did reside in the Monmouth area. Joseph George Ashman/Aishman.
