Many thanks for the images of Llananno, your timing couldn't have been

looking forward to visiting as soon as possible and wandering around the
graveyard in search of ancestors' graves as well as looking inside. I
expect that like most churches these days it is kept locked, is there a
notice to say where the key can be found?

Dear Margaret,
Thank you for you
Hi Keith,
We have Jowett's Railway Atlas, a wonderful book. It covers the whole of
the British Isles and every map is drawn by hand. All the writing is
printed by hand by Jowett. It has all the lines of the past from
pre-Grouping to the present day, it was first published in 1989.
I have found the Leominster Kington lines and it was in fact the Great
Western.
The stations are as follow
Leominster
Kington Junction where the Great Western crosses the London and North
Western and Gt. Western line from Herefo

I can't really add any more info than Margeret has already given except to
tell you that as a child I several times caught the train from New
Radnor(where I lived) to Kington and back.
I do remember the smell and the noise how exciting it seemed.
Best Wishes

Hi Michael and Vicky
You may already have the answers to your request for a look-up.
I have both John and Jane PEMBER in the 1861 census, though not
any of their children, as they would have gone by this time.
According to the census, John was born in Spitalfields London
and in 1861 he and Jane were living in a place called Pengarn in
the parish of Boughrood - near Glasbury? in the enumeration district
of Hay, Breconshire - but this is probably on the border with Radnorshire.
(I'm not an expert on Welsh
Thankyou for answering my enquiry about the railway I did ride on the railway when i was younger shortly before it closed, i remember Dolyhir station as my grandmother had a relative nearby.
If anyone hears of a video of Radnorshire Railways available please can you let me know, thanks again, Keith.

Im researching the Leominster - Kington branch line railway in Herefordshire, the line left Kington & entered Radnorshire, can anyone tell me what stations were on the line in Radnorshire? I would also like to find out about other lines in the county as my ggrandfather worked on the railway in both counties is there anyone doing similar research? if so please get in contact.
Keith.
Dear John,
Many thanks for the images of Llananno, your timing couldn't have been better as far as I am concerned. We had hoped to visit the Local and Family History Fair today at Llandrindod Wells today but unfortunately can't make it. We then intended looking around the church at Llananno as it has strong connections with my ancestors. One of them was a Richard Hamer who was born in Llanbadarn Fynydd in 1689 but then moved to Llananno and was known for the rest of his life as Richard of Llananno.
Hi All,
I shall be off-line for the next week. If you have any dificulties
unsubscribing, or any other problems, please be patient and I'll sort
things out as soonas I'm back!
Cheers,
Malcolm
