Hi Heather,
Isn't it frustrating when one gets to this point and can't seem to move on.
I can't think of anything else, its a pity Death Certificates don't include
place of birth.
Regards,
Margaret H

Hi,
It's Margaret not Brian, I have to use my husband's e-mail address and I
know it causes problems.
I have several Howell Lewis ancestors but none that fit yours at least not
yet. I don't think you will want to be connected with my lot as they seem
to be quite infamous!

Margaret Harvey

I am looking for information about members of the BIRCH family in the area
of Old Radnor, Evenjobb, and Kinnerton. Though general information or
contact with others researching the family would be great, the particular
line I am researching is as follows:
Generation 1 - William BIRCH, b. Jan. 16, 1744/45 Hampton Bishop,
Herefordshire, d. Jan. 12, 1809, Old Radnor. Married Juliana McGree
Children: Juliana McGree Birch, b. Jan. 15, 1763
John Hopewell McGree Birch, b. Aug. 17
Hi Margaret
Yes, I have contacted Alan Powell and he checked his register for me for me.
They are not there. Herefordshire and Monmouthshire have also been checked.
I thought it may have taken place in Abergavenny as the records were not on
Alan Powell's list, but the marriage did not take place there either. They
either did not marry or married in a parish not yet indexed.
Sarah Lewis of Penrhewl died and was buried 10th February 1838 aged 78 years
at Boughrood. Too soon for the 1841 census. Howell died
Hello Brian
Received your email ok. I am only researching one of the surnames mentioned
on your list. Howell Lewis from Boughrood who was a tailor and lived in
Boatside Cottage by the river Wye on the 1841 census with his family. He
married Sarah Beavan at Glasbury parish church in 1824.

Hi Dave
I see you have posted this on WLS-RAD and POWYS-L (or someone has
done it for you).
Powys FHS has the following MIs recorded for Knighton:

You can have a search carried out via GENfair using a credit card

Hello List.
I would like to post my surname interest:
CADWALLADER of Radnorshire, any date's but mainly early 1800s.
Please let me know what you have!
Dave in Preston,Lancashire.
Hi Margaret
Earlier generation of Howell Lewis from Boughrood Radnor. Can you connect
with him?
Howell Lewis son of Howell and Sarah Lewis baptised 12th November 1797.
Their last child entered in the Boughrood register.
First child David baptised 29th December 1786. Both Sarah and Howell and
buried at Boughrood. So far I have been unable to find the marriage of Sarah
& Howell Lewis (senior). It is not in the Boughrood register, any idea's?
Regards Heather

Hello List,
I wonder if some one knows the location of Grave Yards or Cemeteries in the
KNIGHTON area of RADNORSHIRE.
I am looking for CADWALLADER'S who lived in Knighton and Llangynllo in the
early 1800s.
My sister remembers seeing some CADWALLADER head stones around Knighton but
doesn't think it was the Parish Church.
May be I could obtain the Monumental Inscriptions if they have been listed.
Thank's, Dave in Preston,Lancashire.
Hi,
This is just to introduce myself to anyone here who doesn't already know
me. I am the list admin for this list.
The list is very new, started in mid-October 2000. If you posted a query
and haven't got an answer, it isn't people being rude but because there
wasn't anyone else here.... So you might like to wait a while, and re-post.
If you didn't know, the counties of Breconshire, Montgomeryshire and
Radnorshire are also covered by the well established Powys list. So you
might like to try your query
John,
In response to your question, I'm also posting this to all of the mailing
lists I'm subscribed to as there are probably many new subscribers who
aren't aware of this:
