Hello list, Believe it or not I finally have tracked down,or I should say Peter WOOD has tracked down,Harry's birth certificate.So you won't have to listen to me whining anymore,at least not for a while.Harry's parents were Harry WOOD and Elizabeth CLARK.They were living at 23 Fryston Place.I have looked on a couple of map sites for the address and I found a Fryston Rd. in Castleford and a Fryston Lane in Knottingley but no Fryston Place,anyone heard of it? I'm killing two birds with one stone here. My grandmother, whose maiden name was WINIFRED WOOD (1892-1977), attended a school in Sheffield (c1900-1905) which was run by two spinsters, also called WOOD. The school was possibly in the Banner Cross area, down Ecclesall Road in Sheffield. My mother remembers my grandmother telling her that it was a 'school for young ladies'.
