1. [WOODLIEF] Capt John md Mary Archard??? [1]
Listers, According to earlier Woodlief research by Eliz. Ann Taylor Kerman, Capt. John Woodlief (of Prestwood, Buckinghamshire, and later of VA) married on 01 May 1609 in Steventon, Berkshire, to Mary ARCHARD. So I'm back to the original question.....on what BASIS - or by what logic - has it been "assumed" that the John Woodleffe who married in May 1609 over in Berkshire is the SAME John Woodleffe of Prestwood, Buckinghams

Generally, people marry in the wife's home church. Why could this not be the case? ------------------- > Listers, > > According to earlier Woodlief research by Eliz. Ann > Taylor Kerman, Capt.
