Hey Ann, Yes, these are Susan Myra Kingsbury's transcripts of the Virginia Company papers, they're online in several places but the easiest (and "free") access is through the Library of Congress site, within the: The Thomas Jefferson Papers Series 8. Virginia Records Manuscripts. 1606-1737. Susan Myra Kingsbury, editor. Records of the Virginia Company, 1622-24, Volume I: Court Book Part A I don't know if this direct URL will work, but give it a go. (If it works, it should take you to the precis

I think so. Sandy was able to access them and copy some pages which she then sent on to me. If I am remembering correctly, her access was through JSTOR wh

But as I read the Virginia Company materials (I will check JSTOR tomorrow), Woodleef was on the ship Margaret, not already here, and helped equip it and was addressed as the head of the expedition on the ship. 11 plus 1608 makes 1619. So when would he have gone back to do all that? And why do they call him Woodleef of Prestwood (or wherever--I forget right now) and not Woodleef of Jamestown? It was my understanding that he married in England and brought his family over here after the Margaret arrived.

I don't understand the "disbursed 62-11-00 eleauen years since" reference at all. I've never heard that he spent so much time here. Are these records online?
