1. [WR] Wright Land Records, Franklin County, VA [1]
To the Wright, Franklin, Bedford, Roanoke, and Fauquier Lists: Just a note to let everyone know that Heritage Books, Inc. (heritagebooks.com) has published my latest work on the Wright Family Land Grants (1785-1900) And Deed Records (1785-1897) for Franklin County, Virginia. This includes a list in chronological order of the records naming a Wright as a party and with the date of the document and the names of the parties and, most importantly, an identification of the known Wright ancestors of the person

Tara, Since you know the cemetery, and the year of death, try looking for local churches. The minister of a local church may be able to provide you with information as to which funeral homes were commonly used, during that time period, for those buried in the cemetery. I used this approach about 20 years ago to locate the cemetery where my grandfather was buried. Sarah

Tara, Look at the RAOGK site http://www.raogk.org/listing.htm See if you can find a volunteer in Burlington Co. They will know what newspapers would have an obituary and where to find it. You may have to wait but the cost is minimal. Read the instructions before placing your request and consider volunteering for your county also. You learn volumes about the records by doing look ups for others. Maybe you can find someone who will take a picture of the tombstone and maybe it will have a birth date or ye

10. [WR] VA WRIGHT researchers [1]
Ahhh, the two "Frank" problem again! Hi Frank! I'm Frank Dean, and it appears that we both have a William Wright that we're looking for. I posted the "VA WRIGHT researchers" post a couple of weeks back, and between the two of us, I think some of the responders may be getting confused. I'll try to remember to include my surname as well when I post. Good luck with your Wright research. Best wishes, Frank Dean
11. Re: [WR] Elizabeth Wright b:between 1850-1875 NJ [1]
I do know she died in Burlington Co and I even know where she is buried. I have sent off for a death record but the stupid thing was returned to me, along with all my other requests on this family. I had to remail it and it can take up to 12 weeks to get a reply. I don't even know where to get an orbit for her. I have looked online but nothing there. There in nothing in the ancestry.com database on her either. There was a local church in that area that burned down in 1976 that was established in 1849 and I

Lou, the only surname connected with my William Wright that I know about is Tolson. That is the man who married Sarah Wright. If you don't have a Tolson about 1780 in your data base, then the info probably will not help at this time. Thanks, Frank

Thank you for the website. I will check it out to night. About the funeral home...I have no clue. I do know where her tombstone is and I have a transcription of it but unfortunately for me it only has her name and death year. So her orbit would be my only hope I think. But thank you so much for the advice and website. I am going to volunteer some lookups I can do for others. Thanks Tara ----- Original Message ----- From: "tewright" To: Sent: Friday, June 20, 2003
16. [WR] Virus [1]
Nancy - The jdbgmgr.exe file you deleted was a Windows O/S (Operating System) file. It stands for Java DeBug Manager. Whenever I get an email about viruses or "please forward this because this little kid is missing", etc... I go to www.Snopes.com, they're great! They track things like this & post if it's true, sort of true or just made up. They're a wonderful site. To reclaim your lost file you can reinstall Windows from the CD or just live without the program -

18. [WR] SMITH family [1]
Dear Betty, Before I start sending you information that I have already sent you, tell me if it was to you or to Debra that I sent my documentation for George Smith who married ?Coleman as father of Simeon and son of Joshua. I don't want to repeat myself and further confuse the issue. Of course I can't say 100% that it is right, but it might be food for thought. You have a George Smith born July 24, 1885 as the George that married ?Coleman, could you tell me where that date came from? Maybe if we sta

I cannot answer information about any of the people who submitted informati

I will send this out again in hopes someone new has joined that can help me. I am looking for a woman named Elizabeth / Lizzie W. who married Samuel S. Rainier between 1885-1891 in NJ. I need A LOT of help with this one so please donate what information you can. I don't know much about her but here is what I do know. She was born in NJ between 1850 and 1872. I do not have a guess at her age because she died in 1898, in NJ. She would have shown up on the 1890 census but we all know what happened to that. I

THE VIRUS WARNING IS A HOAX. Please ignore the e-mail that you just received from me. My "tech savvy" son-in-law tells me that the "jdbgmgr.exe virus hoax" has been around for a while. "jdbgmgr.exe" is a valid file in computers and the hoax is intended to cause anxiety. PLEASE READ THE STATEMENT FROM DAVID THAT FOLLOWS: I believe that this is a hoax. The file that you mention is a valid Microsoft file. http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/jdbgmgr.exe.file.hoax.html ----- Original Message
