I am looking for information on MARTIN VAN BUREN WRIGHT and his wife,
MAHAILA TRADER. Their children were: Nimrod, born 1882; William "Robert",
born 1887; Leslie, born 1888; Stella, born 1895; Florence, born 1900;
Charlie, born 1902; Eva, born 1904; and Noah, born 1906. There were also a
set of twins born between 1888 and 1895. They died shortly after birth.
This WRIGHT family lived in the Cowen area of Webster County.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cathy
As if we didn't have enough to worry about trying to find the ancestors, I
want to recommend an article in this week's Newsweek about computer privacy
which has a great deal of information. I find it scary but then I'm no
computer whiz. I know this isn't genealogy but feel it warrants violating the
"only genealogy" rule. DJ
I have been confused about copyright in the past. following is the URL for

It seems that my sharing of infor has caused a great deal of confusion.
The web site posted at the top ot the email will take you to exactly where
I got the information. The people were from Georgia. Some of you have
send some rather discourteous remarks. All

Hi! Everyone--
I am new to the list and very happy to be a part of it. I have been
searching for my paternal grandmother's family for almost 10 years. I have
not found even one single lead in all that time. My grandmother passed away
before I began my research. I regret that I did not ask her questions
before that. My father said that when he was growing up, people shared
family stories here and there but didn't seem to be too concerned about
genealogy and such.
Following is the only information that I have
Hi Clarice!
I must have missed your link somewhere. Could you repost it? I check out
every Wright link hoping to find a connection. Sharing is what this is
all about so don't let those people bother you. I enjoy every one's
posts even if they don't connect to me and I am sure 99% of the folks on
this list feel the same way.

It seems that I have been reading a lot of mail from people in the same boat
as I am...an ancestor with no parents! I'm going to give it one more try...
Thomas B. Wright married Martha Wilson in 1823 in Mason Co., KY.
He died in 1834 in Mason Co., KY.
He had several children, including Elizabeth Wright who married Isaac Wright
Outten in 1847 and
Oliver P. Wright, who married Amanda Proctor of Fleming Co., KY,
and possibly a William Wright.
Martha continued raising the family in Mason Co. until 1870's an

Does anyone know the name of the father of the two sisters that Benjamin
Wright, married?
One was Barbara Morgan and the other was Patsy Morgan, but who was their
father? Thanks!

Jean - Is there any possibility that your Solomon WRIGHT is the same as the
one listed in 1820 Census of Lincoln County, Tennessee??? In Lincoln County
1820, there were Solomon, Jacob, Jacob, Andrew C., Dennis and Benjamin WRIGHT.
All except Dennis had children under the age of 10.
If there is a possibility that is your Solomon, I would like to compare notes
with you, as he is one of the suspects for being ancestor of my William M.
Wright, who was born 1821, Lincoln County, Tenn.

I just subscribed to the WRIGHT-L@rootsweb.com today, as that was when I
found that there was one. I am hoping to turn up some relatives, though
they will probably be quite distant, since Charlotte was my ggggrand

William and Charlotte were married 30 Oct. 1817, Clinton Co., Ohio
and had several daughters and at least 3 sons, as they were listed on
the 1850 Howard Co. Indiana Census. John H. born ca 1828 m Mary

By September 1877 after my 7th birthday we were still on the Overman farm in
the haunted house. One bright warm morning in September I with Momie and
sisters were picking our winter supply of beans when suddenly I felt cold
chills run over my body. I said, "Momie, I am awful cold." Momie said,
"Cold, why child this is a very warm morning." She looked up at me as she
spoke and saw I was shaking. Momie said, "L

Chapter Six
We lived in the Maple-Run neighborhood until 1873. This morning my
Grandmother Cook, on July 4, 1873, was walking on their lawn. She noticed
her ducks making quite a noise at a small pond and saying to herself, "maybe
they are a-nest out there. I better go and see." She opened the yard gate,
started across the barn lot. She did not notice the ram sheep approaching
her. Her mind was absorbed in the thought

The forms handlers for my WRIGHT submission forms seem to be working well,
a number of folks sent in information this PM. If time allows I'll update
the pages tomorrow.
Now that I have moved my business web to a domain my genealogy resources
are alone at my home page site. The correct URL to my home page follows my
signature.
There is still an active link through the old URL if you forget to update
your information.
