I have been researching WRIGHTs in Tennessee, Alabama and Texas since 1964.
Searching for parents and siblings of my William M. WRIGHT, born Sept. 1821
in Lincoln County, Tennessee. He married Musadora "Dora" BEAN in Franklin
Co, Tennessee, Jany. 1848, and was listed in 1850 Census of Lincoln County,
Tenn.
They moved sometime about 1856 to Alabama, where Dora died about 1869 or 1870.
William M. moved to Texas with his almost
I am still trying to find someone who knows anything at all about Sidney
Wright and his wife known by her last name only......Key. She died along
with four children somewhere near Springfield, ILL and he moved to north
Georgia which is where I can pick him up with his next wife. He is buried at
Juno Baptist Church in Dawson County, Georgia along with most of his
children, et al. This has been a frustrating search with no results so far.
Thank you for ANY help you can provide.

This weekend my husband and I went to Florence, CO where we had a muzzle
loading shoot.. While there, I went to take photos of the tombstone of a ggg
uncle who was buried in a cemetery nearby... He was a gold miner, having come
from Gasconade Co MO.. ca. 100 yrs ago...
In my sojourn in this old cemetery, I found some Wrights.. Perhaps someone is
looking for this family.. From the dates, I would guess they were gold
miners too.

No. The parents of Deacon Samuel Wright are unproven, so all ancestral
relations are unknown and are just speculated.

This is in response to two different queries that have been posted here
recently. One was concerning Bartholomew Co., IN and Ephraim WRIGHT and
mentioned that his middle initial of L. might stand for LOVELL, an old
family name. The other query was about William Huston WRIGHT, son of James
LOVELL WRIGHT....are these two connected?

Mary,
I just sent a post. In the publish census books, they too saw it as Grunby
Wright. Also, there is a Moses Rite (who becomes Wright) on the 1790
Rutherford census living in Fourth Company as is Grunby.
