to get to our answers and find our families.
Hang in there,
Bev

Is anyone researching a RUBY E. WRIGHT or ALBERT ALLEY?
In my research I turned up a marriage record for Ruby WRIGHT on 19 April 1917
in Des Moines IA, to ALBERT ALLEY. Ruby was 16 at the time. Born in
Kirksville MO. Albert's father was John ALLEY.
If this info matches, just send me a message. I'll be happy to send you this
certificate. sakehi@aol.com

gotten remarried in Des Moines about this time. This one doesn't match! B
Greetings Researchers,
I ask your help in solving my bottle-neck. I have narrowed my search to
the time period between 1832 and about 1850 - And to the area that
eventually became Johnson County, and more particularly the Township of
Chilhowee. I think
that I have gathered about all of the information, from sources like land
records, census records, articles from books and newspapers, in addition
to the traditional
family folk-lore etc. I now believe that to solve my problem, the

I have found a Robert Gray Wright, Pvt. in the CSA in Brunswick County, Virginia. The county census of 1860 lists him as being 39... His wife's name was Jensey, 38. The info I have states that the names of his parents have never been identified. They were living in Brunswick County, but it is not known where they came from. Being 39 in 1860, he should have been born 1820-1822... If anyone out there has any info please let me know...
Thank you...

Hi:
Regarding people who are afraid to post their families which was sent to
the list by jmt@mciworld.com:
I have a friend who found two web sites about her surname - both of them
had incorrect information. She now hates the internet. The one guy
apparently had taken from the first guy's site and created his own web
site with the incorrect information. She hadn't had a rewsponse from the
first guy yet as to where he got his incorrect information!

Has anyone on the list run across, or information on, a John Walter Wright (ca 1840-1850 supposedly) married to a Rebecca Caroline Crutchfield( 5/6/1855-12/5/19332)? They had 3 children: Walter Ellis Wright, and twins Vernon Lee and Valeria Jones Wright. Any info would be appreciated...

You have previously been told that the Reuben Wright you are asking
about dies at the age of 1 year.
To Verify this, please see "Epitaphs in the Old Burying Ground at
Deerfield, MA", printed in 1924.
This Reuben Wright died at the age of one year and one month. You can
not stretch a dead baby to fit your desires. No matter how much you
want to make the connection, the Reuben Wright, born 25 Jan 1761, son of
Asahel and Lucy (Wait) Wright is NOT your Reuben!

Dear Connie,
This is in reply to your query and for convenience I am copying the
Wright, Bedford, and Prince Edward lists.
My records list your David Wright as David Wright, Jr., of Henderson
County, Kentucky, (place of death), son of David Wright, Sr., and ____
(_____) Wright, and grandson of 1779 (year of death) John Wright of
Prince Edward County, Virginia, (place of death). David Jr. was born
about 1760 or after 1761 and before 1766, married Sarah Talbot on Sep 28,
1782, at Bedford County, Virginia,
I, too, find myself responding directly to the person, rather then the
list, for the same reason. I don't want someone coming down on me, because
I didn't do something right. But we need to respond to the list, so others
can have the same info. I guess, "take the bull by the horns", and just do
it!!
I belong to several lists, and don't find this one so critical.
Lets all start responding to the list!!
Anyone doing the Portlock/Wright line?
I'm not, but do have some info on that line.
