I just received a copy of an article that ran in the July 22, 1907 "Wheeling Intelligencer" newspaper about the murder of my great-grandfather PIERCE DAVIS. He was shot by EDWARD LOCKHART, the man who stole Pierce's first wife (Martha) away from him.
