My name is Mike Riley. I'm from St. Albans, WV. I'm researching the
William Thomas and Mary Jane ARTHUR line. He was born 22 Sep 1818 and died
28 Nov 1864. I'm particularly interested in finding his parents. William
married his first wife Frances Lawhorn 26 Mar 1836 in Bedford Co VA. I
believe he moved to Monroe Co. after her death. He married Mary Jane Helms
there 24 Sep 1842. They lived on Laurel Branch off of Pott's Creek.
Portions of the old cabin are still there just down the hill from the

England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and France have all been advanced as the
origin of the Caperton name. This John Caperton was the only person to
immigrate to America, in this time frame, and it was thought that he came
in the late 1740's or early 1750's, certainly by 1753.

Greetings West Virginia researchers,
I don't know if there is a format I should be using for this list, I'm sure
someone will clue me in if there is.
Here are my earliest generation as I have it in a nutshell;
John Riner and his family seems to have come to Monroe Co. West Virginia about
1819. John and Lydia Riner placed thier "X,s" on a land Purchase Agreement
dated October 9, 1819 for 216 acres on Rich Creek from Jacob Miller's heir
Peter, for $1,742 owing. It is said that John brought his family from
Sandra Nolan,
My HAYNES connection is a George L. born 1848/9, married to Permelia Jane
Beckner in 1874, don't know any more about him except in the 1880 census they
had two kids:
1. Houston C. born 1876/77
2. Bessa E. born 1878/79
Cannot find them in either WV or VA in 1900 census so don't know what happened
to them.
The William TAYLOR married to Florence GRAHAM is my line-I have the info on
her but don't know exactly what happened to them-supposidly moved to IN.
Thanks-Melinda

I saw this response come through yesterday. I don't know if I missed the
original post or is still in my "to be read" stuff from last weekend.
I am interested in your Andrew ENSMINGER at Swopes Knob. The ENSMINGER's
were related to the DEHART's somehow and were also in the Swopes Knob area.
I wonder if there is some connection?
Let me know what you think.

3/8/1860 Samuel W. Riner married Martha Ann Hutchison.I have extensive
information on the Hutchison's the only problem is I can't figure out the
format that was used. This work was done in 1940 by a cousin Pansy L. Sevy
b.2/16/1896 d.4/24/1949. My parents wern't even teenagers back then. The way
this tree is structured I can't figure out who belongs to who.
1. Does anybody have any information on this Family's Hutchison up lines?
I,ve seen some word for word information that matches Pansy's work out there
Melinda--can you send your Milburn line again, the printer left a gap and
I deleted the info :-(

to be Addison Ellison son of James III and Mary Calloway. Does anyone

Raleigh County. I am related to Raleigh County Ellisons also. I would
