Can anyone tell me exactly where White's Creek is located? Is it part of Wayne, or a town by itself,in Wayne County? My Reuben and Rachel Cornwell are said to have died there abt 1910, and their son Watson lived there.
Also, if Polly sees this,my server mail is being returned and I am not sure if you are receiving it from my secondary webmail address. Sure would like to discuss Napier with you.
Thanks---happy hunting everyone!

I have no idea where the Muncy family originated. My grandfather Compton
was born in Lawrence County, KY and married first to Georgia Vaughn. They
had four children. After Georgia's death he remarried (Wayne Co., WV) to
Victoria Vinson, a lady (according to the marriage certificate) previously
married also.
Their three daughters were Isabelle Compton, b. 1895; Nora Compton, b.Nov.
1897; and Mary Compton, b. 18 Jan 1900. I know nothing about Isabelle and
only that Mary married someone by the name of McG

Prichard was Round Bottom before it was Prichard. I'm not sure of dates
but Prichard is located on the Big Sandy River, South of Huntington WV.
It's part of Wayne Co and before that it was Cabell Co... and on and on
Mason Co is on the Ohio River, Pt Pleasant is the county seat. they may
have shared a county in earlier times such as Kanawha, Botoute sp? etc.

Barb;
I was told by my cousin, Nannie MERIDETH Johnson, w/o Albert JOHNSON, that
her DAD was a preacher and they lived on Queens Creek near Prichard Wayne
WV. She had a sister, Ida ?? who lived in a nursing home in 1989+. Nannie
died about 4 years ago in Louisa KY. Her sister had died before. Nan was
95+.
Nan and Albert lived at Prichard in my Grandfathers house. I never knew
Albert, my Grandfather or my DAD.
I have a family picture somewhere at a reunion at Albert's house/
