Hi to all you Zimmerman descendants, My great grandmother was Mary Catherine (Catharine) Zimmerman. She was born in Richmond, IN on March 3, 1852. She married John Star Gish on February 15, 1876. I do not know anything else about her - have hit nothing but brick walls in my search. According to the 1860 Census in Wayne County, IN there was a Samuel and Catherine Zimmerman who had a daughter Mary listed as 10 years old. My Mary would have been 8. My Great Grndma was Abigail Catherine Zimmerman b 9/13/1871 In Jan 1898 she married Henry (Harry) Ward Clough/Clugh They had three children; Ward Hastings Clugh b 1898 d 1940, Mary Martha Clugh b 8/1900, d 3/1983 in Ohio, and my Pap, Giles Cramer Clugh b 9/6/1906, d 10/1970. Abbie, as she was called, was born in Pleasant Hall, PA near Shippensburg, PA. She was the daughter of Solomon Cramer and Mary Catherine Smith Zimmerman.
