Hello all! I am redoing the Feketitsch-section of the DVHH-website which also includes the family registry pages for this village. There are not many of them so far, only Brad Schwebler's, Linda Miller's and a link to my website. So if you are a researcher for Feketitsch, please contact me or Brad so we can add a registry page for you too! All we need is - a list of the family names from Feketitsch you have in your tree - your e-mail address - any other material you want to add (photos or stories) L
137. Re: [DVHH] deciphering church records [1]
Kurt --that is true about the analogy. You may not have much use for looking for godparents and witnesses being the same, but it might come in handy. I found it for one of my early records. And in helping a friend, I did run into a problem of two people with the same name being born within months of each other. Deciding which was the correct "John Schlee" was difficult -- sometimes you just make the best guess you can. Susan ----- Original Message ----- From: Kurt McCrary To: Susan Willia

142. Re: [DVHH] Kutschera in Schanderhaas- Alexanderhausen [1]
Anne, In the dialects of Banat (called "schwowisch") the name of Alexanderhausen is Schanderhaas (derived from the Hungarian Sandorhaza); today's Romanian name is Sandra (with a little "," under the "S", making it sound like "sh". As mentioned in my previous e-mail, the name Kutschera is found in Alexanderhausen. You can check it out on Best regards, Nick Tullius -----Original Message----- From: donauschwaben-v

Marge & Kati, I can't imagine that I didn't mention this, but did you find the link on my Brestowatz site to Mary Ann Fischer's pages? (For this, I cannot give you an exact link -- you have to follow the SEARCH) However, here is a Descendant charge for Johann Hehn, b. 1770 -- you may find quite a bit more than is in the family book, due to Mary Ann's vigilence & recording.
